Job Overview

The Environmental and HAZMAT Coordinator is responsible for managing environmental compliance and hazardous materials (HAZMAT) programs within the organization. This role ensures adherence to regulations, promotes sustainability initiatives, and provides training and support to employees regarding environmental practices and HAZMAT handling. Ensures program goals protect employee health and prevent workplace hazards and injuries. Conduct internal inspections and audits on workplace environments for compliance with regulations, host nation standards in support of MNG's mission and acts as the company spokesperson during environmental and HAZMAT inspections.

Other duties include training employees, investigating workplace incidents, flagging environmentally hazardous conditions or areas, and developing countermeasures for those hazards identified. Responsible for monitoring the removal of HAZMAT in a proper and safe manner. SME for proper storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous material. Compiles regular reports of compliance and areas to improve on a routine basis. Reports to the Site Manager of the location assigned and the Director of AOM.

Qualifications
  • High School Degree
  • Minimum of five years of experience in environmental compliance or corporate related fields.
  • HAZWOPER certification
Additional Requirements

Medical Examination:
Candidates must successfully complete all mandatory medical examinations required to obtain employment.

Criminal Record:
To qualify for a Saudi Work Visa, candidates must have a clean criminal record with no prior convictions, as specified by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Drug and Alcohol Testing:
Candidates must pass a drug test to be considered for employment. Additionally, our ATSS program enforces a random drug and alcohol testing policy. Employees will be subject to periodic testing to maintain adherence to our workplace standards and safety regulations.

Compliance with Saudi Labor Law:
All employment terms and conditions will be in accordance with Saudi Labor Law. Candidates must be prepared to adhere to these regulations throughout their employment.
