Staff Manufacturing Engineer
Join Lenovo’s Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) as a Staff Manufacturing Engineer and play a key role in shaping the future of server hardware testing. In this role, you will lead process optimization, introduce advanced testing technologies, and ensure top-quality standards for enterprise-level solutions. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive innovation in a global environment.
Your Responsibilities- Design and optimize assembly process workflows, including the design and validation of related fixtures and tooling; prepare and maintain process documentation.
- Participate in new product trial builds, troubleshoot functional and structural issues during pilot runs, and complete issue reports.
- Respond quickly to and resolve technical problems on the production line, applying root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead or support continuous improvement projects focused on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, and Product Development teams to ensure effective implementation of process requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering; experience in Server/ PC/notebook or consumer electronics assembly is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly tolerance analysis and ability to independently design fixtures.
- Proficient in engineering design software such as CAD and Solid Works.
