A highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer is required to oversee and manage electrical maintenance activities across oil facility operations. The role involves ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical systems in compliance with industry standards and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and execute maintenance of electrical systems within oil and gas facilities
- Ensure proper functioning of power distribution systems, transformers, switch gear, and control panels
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability
- Ensure compliance with international safety standards and company policies
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, instrumentation, and operations
- Review technical drawings, schematics, and electrical layouts
- Participate in shutdown planning, turnaround maintenance, and emergency repairs
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and maintenance records
- Guide and mentor junior engineers and technicians
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)
- Professional certifications in electrical systems or maintenance (preferred)
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industries
- Strong exposure to oil facility maintenance operations
- Strong knowledge of power systems, electrical equipment, and maintenance practices
- Experience in handling HV/LV systems, substations, and switch gear
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and fault diagnosis
- Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, and NEC
- Knowledge of safety protocols including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical diagrams
- Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills
- Problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail
