Our newest opportunity is for a talented Site‑Wide Logistics Engineer to join our award‑winning team based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This role is responsible for supporting the design, planning, and optimization of site‑wide logistics and traffic operations across a large‑scale construction program. The successful candidate will bring a strong traffic engineering background, with proven expertise in traffic diversion planning, traffic management design and construction traffic operations, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant movement of materials, workforce and vehicles across the site.
- Logistics Oversight & System Optimization
- Maintain and continuously enhance site‑wide logistics procedures, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, capacity and safety.
- Monitor contractor compliance with approved Logistics Management Plans (LMPs) and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Manage and optimise the use of site access gates, delivery scheduling systems, lay‑down areas and internal haul routes.
- Review and update logistics workflows in line with evolving construction phases and sequencing.
- Traffic Engineering & Mobility Management
- Lead the development, review and implementation of Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), including temporary traffic diversions and phasing strategies.
- Apply traffic engineering principles to design safe and efficient traffic routing, including haul routes, temporary roads, access/egress points and interface zones.
- Develop and review traffic diversion schemes, staging plans and traffic control layouts in coordination with stakeholders and authorities.
- Conduct traffic impact assessments, congestion analysis and mobility studies based on construction activities and peak demand scenarios.
- Oversee the design, placement and maintenance of traffic control devices, signage, road markings and temporary traffic systems in line with international standards.
- Ensure all traffic engineering solutions align with local authority requirements and best practice standards.
- Operational Monitoring & Compliance
- Lead regular inspections and audits to ensure safe and efficient execution of logistics and traffic operations.
- Ensure compliance with approved procedures, regulatory requirements and project standards.
- Monitor contractor performance against logistics and traffic KPIs, including delivery schedules, incident rates and route adherence.
- Issue instructions, NCRs and corrective actions for non‑compliance or deviations from approved plans.
