Role Purpose

To implement technical expertise across projects relating to engineering and design processes, by conducting innovative design solutions while upholding best practices, and adhering to regulatory requirements to ensure the accurate realization of engineering designs aligned with project visions and requirements.

Key Accountabilities
  • Follow all relevant departmental processes, policies, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Demonstrate compliance with the organization’s values and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value-driven culture within the organization.
Project Conceptualization and Integration
  • Evaluate and analyze progress of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relating to Engineering design, to gain an understanding of the project’s design criteria, specifications, and progress to assess if relevant design practices and standards are adhered to across project life cycles.
  • Implement and maintain design schedules, and effective resources to support that the design process and its alignment with operations and overall project requirements and timelines.
  • Monitor compliance with design goals and relevant certification.
  • Address and elevate Requests for Information (RFIs) and Technical Queries (TQs) Requests for client review and clarification based on Project Design Criteria and specifications to deliver accurate designs across projects.
  • Support other engineers, and Project Managers, in integrating engineering designs and standards throughout the entire project lifecycle (project planning, design, construction, and operations).
Design Planning and Evaluation
  • Develop and update detailed plans to deliver high‑quality designs that support overall project specifications, whilst upholding relevant engineering standards.
  • Effectively implement the use of supporting tools (e.g., VDC, BIM) related to the overall design plan, upholding quality designs across projects to deliver accurate and innovative design proposals to clients across projects.
  • Study schematic designs and drawings across construction projects to evaluate their adherence to the overall project vision and specifications, supporting critical decisions regarding design challenges, modifications, and design changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the implementation of sustainable and environmentally friendly practices and promote the use of durable materials to minimize the need for material replacements across the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle to integrate design disciplines (architectural, structural, mechanical) and ensure QA checks across all architectural design processes to contribute to overall project success.
  • Evaluate and review design deliverables and design solutions across construction project phases to assess their alignment with project specifications and industry best practices.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Research local and global regulations and legislation of the engineering industry to report on relevant changes where required across project design practices.
  • Maintain compliance with local and global legislation and regulation (e.g., International Organization for Standardization (ISO)) related to architectural design and drawing to ensure compliance and obtain relevant architectural certification.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) Management
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner in compliance with internal policies and guidelines.
Reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet department requirements, policies, and quality standards.
Technical Essential

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor in Engineering, or any other related field.

Experience

  • 0-4 years’ related experience in roles within similar positions.
