Our client is seeking to appoint a Civil Engineer to join their building fabric management team.
The CompanyA leading provider of integrated facilities and estates management services, supporting complex portfolios with high standards of compliance, presentation, and operational performance.
The RoleThe Civil Engineer will oversee the day-to-day management of building fabric operations, ensuring statutory compliance, operational quality, and excellence in service delivery. The role involves coordinating service providers, managing PPMs, supporting fit‑out activity, and maintaining high presentation standards across all public and back‑of‑house areas.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct inspections to ensure building fabric quality and presentation
- Coordinate with service providers on maintenance and fit‑out works
- Review design drawings and provide technical input
- Hold progress meetings with contractors and monitor performance
- Enforce health and safety and company policies
- Ensure compliance with legislation and best practice
- Review specifications, quotations, and contractor submissions
- Respond to reactive maintenance issues and manage reporting
- Manage invoicing and supplier enquiries
- Instruct minor works and manage third‑party contractors
- Support interdisciplinary FM activities
The successful candidate will have civil engineering experience within FM or heritage environments and demonstrate:
- Knowledge of building fabric and maintenance standards
- Strong contractor management and project coordination skills
- Experience with AutoCAD, budgeting, and health and safety compliance
