Associate Infrastructure Engineer

Ready to shape the region’s infrastructure with Buro Happold? We’re looking for a passionate Associate Civil / Wet Utilities / Roads Engineer to join our Riyadh infrastructure team and help deliver cutting‑edge, sustainable infrastructure solutions across Saudi Arabia.

• Support the design and coordination of civil infrastructure including:
  • Road networks, pavements, and highway alignments
  • Stormwater drainage systems, surface water management, and flood mitigation
  • Foul sewer networks and potable water distribution systems
• Assist in developing infrastructure strategies within urban and regional masterplans and prepare and review civil layouts, profiles, grading designs, hydraulic calculations, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including transport planning, structures, environmental, utilities, and urban planning teams.
• Assist in producing technical reports, design submissions, specifications, and client deliverables while supporting clash detection, design integration, and corridor optimisation across projects.
• Ensure designs are developed in line with relevant Saudi Arabian codes, standards, and authority requirements, maintaining design assumptions, calculations, and documentation in line with established QA/QC processes.
• Support modelling and analysis using civil engineering design tools such as Civil 3D, Micro Station, and hydraulic modelling software.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in infrastructure design within consultancy, engineering, or utility sectors.
• Strong analytical, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Micro Station is beneficial.
