Company: Nesma & Partners
Role PurposeSupervise and manage environmental activities, programs, and compliance within Nesma & Partners to ensure that the organization operates in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner.
Key AccountabilitiesOperational
Direction
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local, regional, and national environmental regulations and standards by staying informed about changes in environmental laws that could affect the Nesma & Partners operations.
- implement, and manage environmental programs, initiatives, and policies aimed at reducing the company's environmental footprint through waste reduction, energy conservation, pollution prevention, and sustainable practices.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret environmental data to assess Nesma & Partners environmental performance by identifying trends, areas of improvement, and opportunities for sustainability.
- Support the preparation of accurate and comprehensive environmental reports for regulatory agencies, senior management, and stakeholders to ensure that data is well-organized and presented effectively.
- Conduct regular environmental audits and assessments to evaluate the company's compliance with environmental policies and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal departments, external partners, government agencies, and community organizations to promote environmental initiatives, address concerns, and enhance stakeholder relations.
- Follow all relevant HSSE processes, policies, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Demonstrate compliance with the organization’s values and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the organization.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) Management
- Conduct all activities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner in compliance with internal policies and guidelines.
Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet HSSE requirements, policies, and quality standards.
Education/Certification
- Bachelors in Engineering, Environmental Science, or any other related field.
Experience
- 8 related years’ experience with 3 years’ experience with growing supervisory accountability in roles within similar positions.
Languages
Skills
- Regulatory Compliance Knowledge, Troubleshooting, Quality Control Management, Digital Documentation and Record Management, Environmental Impact Understanding & Assessment, HSSE Regulation & Compliance.
Education/Certification
- Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEP), or similar certifications.
Experience
- Experience in the EPC industry.
