Saudi Information Systems (SIS) is seeking a highly skilled PS Core Performance Engineer to analyze and optimize EPC, 5GC, and IMS network performance. This role is critical in enhancing network efficiency, identifying root causes of service degradation, and driving performance improvements across core network domains.

As a PS Core Performance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring optimal performance of next-generation telecom core networks, including EPC, 5GC, and IMS platforms. You will perform deep-dive analyses of network KPIs, troubleshoot complex signaling and performance issues, and provide actionable recommendations to improve service quality. The role involves working closely with customer teams, participating in technical discussions, and contributing to Big Data analytics and performance monitoring initiatives.
This is a highly technical position suited for experts in core network performance and optimization within large-scale telecom environments.
- Analyze and optimize EPC, 5GC, and IMS core network performance and troubleshoot service degradations
- Perform on-demand analysis for customer complaints and performance-related issues
- Develop and manage KPIs, counters, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms
- Provide tuning and optimization recommendations for core network nodes
- Support customer workshops, technical discussions, and performance reviews
- Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to enhance tools and Big Data use cases
- Strong expertise in 5G Core (5GC), EPC, IMS, and VoLTE architectures
- Hands‑on experience with telecom signaling protocols:
Diameter, GTP, PFCP, SCTP, MAP, TCP/IP - Deep understanding of telecom interfaces: S1, S11, S5, S6a, Gx, Gy, N1, N2, N3, N4, Rx, Ro, etc.
- Experience working with vendor tools and core network equipment
- Solid understanding of end‑to‑end telecom architecture and IP networking concepts
- Proven experience in performance analysis and optimization within core networks
- Knowledge or hands‑on experience with 5G SA and NSA architectures
- Experience in Big Data analytics for telecom performance monitoring
- Exposure to multi‑vendor core network environments
- Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
