Maintenance Engineer – MechatronicsThe Maintenance Engineer in Saudi Arabia reports to the Maintenance Manager. The role ensures reliable operation, performance, and safety of all factory machinery and equipment—press machines, CNC and laser cutters, drilling units, tube mills, slitting lines, and related automation systems. Responsibilities include leading preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
GeneralTask Management
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on all machines and equipment.
- Train, mentor, and support junior technicians and apprentices.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Troubleshoot faults in PLCs, control systems, drives, motors, and automation panels.
- Ensure maximum equipment uptime with minimum breakdown frequency.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to minimize downtime and optimize process efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with maintenance codes, company standards, policies, and factory safety guidelines.
- Develop and maintain maintenance schedules for electrical systems.
- Implement lock‑out/tag‑out, risk assessments, and other safety procedures during maintenance.
- Monitor critical parameters such as vibration, temperature, lubrication, and energy consumption.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Create and implement new systems and modifications to improve machinery performance.
- Coordinate and supervise third‑party contractors for general maintenance activities.
- Manage spare parts and communicate with OEMs and suppliers.
- Supervise and guide maintenance technicians and contractors during maintenance and repair work.
- Allocate daily maintenance tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to procedures.
- Provide on‑the‑job training and promote a proactive maintenance culture.
- Coordinate with production and QA departments to plan shutdowns and maintenance activities.
- Foster teamwork, continuous learning, and accountability within the maintenance team.

- Minimum 3–5 years of industrial or factory maintenance experience.
- Proven experience maintaining/troubleshooting press machines, CNC, laser, drilling, tube mill, and slitting lines.
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation, PLCs, drives, motors, sensors, and control systems.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with safety standards (OSHA, ISO) and energy management practices.
- Participation in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and 5S initiatives.
- Proposal of upgrades, automation, or modifications to improve reliability and energy efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and equipment history.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, CMMS systems, and maintenance reporting tools.
- Analyze recurring failures and implement corrective actions through root cause analysis (RCA).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Availability for night shift work and emergency call‑outs.
