Design Management & Optimization
Spearhead the comprehensive review of feasibility studies, design schemes, calculations, and detailed engineering drawings submitted by consultants or Joint Venture (JV) partners. Drive value engineering and technical optimization to ensure structural integrity, safety, cost-effectiveness, and smooth project execution.
Bidding & Tendering Technical SupportProvide robust technical support and subject matter expertise during project bidding, tendering, and pre-construction phases. Analyze client technical requirements, establish design criteria, identify engineering risks, and formulate highly competitive, innovative technical bidding proposals.
Standards & Quality ComplianceEnsure all infrastructure design deliverables strictly comply with division-wide technical standards, contractual obligations, and client requirements. Act as the primary authority on international maritime and transportation engineering design codes.
Knowledge Management & Best PracticesActively participate in the formulation, update, and standardization of division-wide technical guidelines. Contribute to the continuous development of internal knowledge systems, lessons learned repositories, and engineering best practices to elevate the regional team's technical capabilities.
SkillsEducation: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Port and Waterway Engineering, Highway and Bridge Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline. A Master’s degree or holding a chartered/professional engineering license (e.g., CEng, PE) is highly preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of verifiable overseas experience in engineering design and design management, with a robust portfolio of successfully delivered large-scale port, marine structures, or transportation infrastructure projects.
Technical Proficiency & Software: Extensive knowledge and practical application of international maritime and transportation design codes (e.g., British Standards, Eurocodes, AASHTO, PIANC). Advanced proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and PLAXIS.
Strong practical understanding and utilization of BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodologies is highly desirable.
Language & Communication: Native-level or absolute fluency in English is mandatory. Must be fully capable of utilizing English as the primary working language for technical reporting, contract interpretation, and high-level client meetings.
