Flint International is hiring an experienced IoT Optimization Engineer to ensure optimal end‑to‑end performance, reliability, and service quality for IoT connectivity in a Tier‑1 telecom operator environment. This role is vital in supporting IoT service lifecycle management—from solution design validation and onboarding to live optimization, troubleshooting, and large-scale enterprise/industrial IoT deployments.
📜 DetailedJob Description
As an IoT Optimization Engineer, you will work across IoT devices, access networks, mobile core, IP connectivity, and IoT service platforms to maintain seamless E2E IoT delivery. You will analyze E2E service flows, troubleshoot connectivity issues, investigate KPI degradations, and drive continuous service improvements. The role involves hands‑on protocol analysis (MAC/PHY/IP), cellular IoT technologies (NB‑IoT/LTE‑M), and core network functions (SGW/PGW/UPF). You will support customer onboarding, incident resolution, and large enterprise IoT deployments while collaborating closely with RAN, Core, IP, and IoT platform teams to ensure high service availability and performance.
✅ Key Responsibilities- Ensure E2E performance, reliability, and quality of IoT connectivity services
- Analyze IoT device behavior, protocol stacks, and application communication flows
- Diagnose issues across access, core, and IP networks using logs and packet analysis
- Optimize NB‑IoT, LTE‑M, GSM, LTE, and 5G IoT connectivity
- Support onboarding and validation of IoT solutions for enterprises and industry verticals
- Conduct RCA for service degradations and recommend optimization actions
- Work on IoT platforms for connectivity and device management
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—RAN, Core, IP, Platforms, and Enterprise Solutions
- Execute IoT service assurance and lifecycle management activities
- 5–10 years of experience in IoT, telecom networks, or enterprise connectivity
- Strong hands‑on expertise in IoT architectures, E2E service flows, and device communication
- Proficiency in PHY/MAC/IP/TCP‑UDP/application protocols
- Deep understanding of MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, LwM2M
- Expertise in cellular IoT technologies (NB‑IoT, LTE‑M, GSM, LTE, 5G)
- Strong background in mobile core: SGW, PGW, UPF, HLR/HSS/UDM, PCRF/PCF
- Solid IP networking knowledge: routing, NAT, VPN, public/private addressing
- Hands‑on experience with packet analysis and troubleshooting tools
- Experience with IoT platforms (connectivity/device management)
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Telecom operator background (highly preferred)
- Experience in large‑scale IoT deployment and service assurance
- Knowledge of enterprise IoT verticals (utilities, industrial, automotive, smart city)
- Hands‑on exposure to CEM tools, performance dashboards, or analytics platforms
- Familiarity with security aspects of IoT communication and device onboarding
To stand out, highlight real end‑to‑end IoT troubleshooting or optimization cases you solved—especially those involving NB‑IoT or LTE‑M performance improvements, packet‑level analysis, or multi‑domain RCA. Quantified results greatly strengthen your application.
