WSP Middle East is seeking an experienced MEP Construction Manager – (Data Centre) to support the delivery of a large‑scale data centre project in the Riyadh region. This site‑based supervision role focuses on overseeing construction delivery, ensuring quality, compliance, and coordination of all MEP systems from mobilisation through commissioning and handover. The project is located approximately 80 km from Riyadh and requires regular on‑site presence.
ResponsibilitiesConstruction Management & Supervision
- Lead day‑to‑day site supervision of MEP works across all project phases
- Monitor contractor performance, progress, and adherence to project specifications
- Ensure construction activities are executed in line with approved drawings and standards
- Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions
- Oversee installation of MEP systems including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, ELV, and ICT
- Ensure compliance with mission‑critical design requirements (uptime, redundancy, resilience)
- Act as the key interface between client, EPC contractor, consultants, and internal teams
- Support resolution of technical and site‑related issues
- Attend coordination and progress meetings, providing structured updates
- Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to QA/QC processes and inspection protocols
- Verify works comply with project specifications, international standards, and local regulations
- Support testing, commissioning, and system validation activities
- Promote a strong safety culture across site activities
- Ensure compliance with WSP and client HSE policies and procedures
- Monitor safe execution of works
- Track progress against schedule and highlight delays/risks
- Provide regular reports to project leadership
- Support mitigation planning and corrective actions
- Oversee commissioning of all MEP systems
- Ensure operational readiness aligned with data centre performance requirements
- Support final handover and close‑out documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 15+ years of experience, with strong exposure to data centre / mission‑critical projects
- Proven experience in construction supervision / site‑based roles
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and data centre infrastructure (power, cooling, ICT)
- Experience with EPC contractors and large‑scale developments
- Prior experience in the Middle East, preferably Saudi Arabia
