** Job Description**## Overview## We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Transport Engineer to join our Traffic Engineering and Strategic Advisory Business Unit in the Middle East. The ideal candidate will be a degree-qualified professional with 12–15 years of experience in transport planning and traffic engineering within the Middle East, bringing strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities.##

Your role ##
* Lead and deliver transport planning and traffic engineering projects from concept through to execution.
* Oversee the design, analysis, and optimization of traffic systems, including signals, signage, and roadway networks.
* Conduct and review traffic impact studies, simulations, and data analysis to improve system efficiency and safety.
* Develop and implement transport strategies, traffic management plans, and policies aligned with client and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including urban planners, engineers, contractors, and government authorities.
* Ensure compliance with regional traffic regulations, standards, and best practices.
* Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables effectively.
* Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
* Stay updated with advancements in smart mobility solutions, ITS, and sustainable transportation systems.## About you##
** Qualifications & Experience
*** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related discipline.
* 12–15 years of experience in traffic engineering and transport planning, preferably within the Middle East.
* Proven track record in leading complex and large-scale transportation projects.
* Strong expertise in traffic modeling tools such as Aimsun, VISSIM, Synchro, or similar.
* In-depth understanding of traffic regulations, safety standards, and regional frameworks.
* Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
* Experience in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), smart mobility, and sustainable transport initiatives.
