Building Services Engineer

Overview

Atkins Middle East is engaged with a major private client based in Riyadh, working on KSA government projects. This engagement involves surveying secure government communication assets and related facilities across the Kingdom.

The Building Services Engineer will be part of a two‑person survey team, working alongside a Lead Building Surveyor and will be project‑managed from Riyadh with extensive travel throughout KSA to assess more than 100 government sites.

Language proficiency:
English – Very Good
Arabic – Fluent / Excellent

• Bachelor's Degree in Building Services or Electrical Engineering from a recognised university.
• Experience with a wide range of building types and engineering technology.
• Sound understanding of construction, design, and engineering.
• Experience consistently applying assessment criteria across varied estates.
• Familiarity with relevant technical codes of practice.
• Numerate, literate, and proficient in IT and relevant software.
• Good report writing and communication skills.
• Experience working within a secure or restricted environment.
• English and Arabic speaking abilities.
• Motivated and pro‑active.
• Valid driving licence.

• Saudi National or transferable Iqama.

• Must own a car.
• Must have a valid driving licence.

• Provide specialist Building Services Engineering input to the survey team, supporting the Lead Surveyor.
• Implement the visit programme established in consultation with the Project Manager.
• Take sole responsibility for Building Services Engineering assessment.
• Prepare robust and accurate reports in the prescribed format.
• Follow Atkins Project Quality Plan.
• Maintain appropriate client contact and engagement on key issues.
• Ensure compliance with Business Management procedures and office systems.
