Maintenance Engineer

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on press machines, CNC, laser cutting machines, drilling units, tube mills, slitting lines, and related automation systems.
• Train, mentor, and support junior technicians and apprentices.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including PLCs, control systems, drives, motors, and automation panels.
• Ensure maximum equipment uptime with minimal breakdowns by monitoring critical parameters such as vibration, temperature, lubrication, and energy consumption.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to minimize downtime and optimize process efficiency.
• Develop and maintain maintenance schedules for electrical systems.
• Implement lock‑out/tag‑out, risk assessments, and other safety procedures during maintenance.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and create/improve systems while modifying machinery as needed.
• Co‑ordinate and supervise third‑party contractors for general maintenance activities and manage spare parts procurement with OEMs and suppliers.
• Supervise and guide maintenance technicians and contractors, allocate daily tasks, and monitor progress.
• Provide on‑the‑job training, foster a proactive maintenance culture, and promote teamwork, continuous learning, and accountability within the maintenance team.
• Plan maintenance activities with production and QA departments to align shutdowns and maintenance schedules.

• 3–5 years of industrial or factory maintenance experience.
• Proven experience with press machines, CNC, laser, drilling, tube mill, and slitting line maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation, PLCs, drives, motors, sensors, and control systems.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies and tools.
• Familiarity with safety standards (OSHA, ISO) and energy‑management practices.
• Experience participating in TPM and 5S initiatives.
• Ability to propose upgrades, automation, or modifications to improve reliability and energy efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and equipment history.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Competent with MS Office, CMMS systems, and maintenance reporting tools.

• Analysis of recurring failures and implementation of corrective actions through root cause analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to work night shift and respond to emergency call‑outs.
