Job Summary
We are seeking highly skilled and adaptable B1.3 Mechanical Licensed Engineers to join our mobile support team. This is not a hangar‑bound role; you will be the front‑line technical expert supporting customer operations across the Africa and Middle East (AME) region.
You will ensure the highest standards of safety and availability for heavy twin‑engine helicopters operating in diverse and often challenging environments.
Primary Responsibilities- Maintenance Execution:
Perform scheduled, baseline, and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and defect rectification on H225, Caracal, and Super Puma families. - Field Support:
Deploy on short‑notice, punctual missions to customer sites to provide technical assistance, AOG (Aircraft On Ground) support, and specialized repairs. - Compliance:
Certify all work performed in accordance with EASA Part 145 standards or equivalent local CAA regulations and company QMS. - Customer Liaison:
Act as a technical ambassador, providing guidance to customer maintenance teams and ensuring operational continuity. - Safety & Quality:
Maintain a Safety First culture, ensuring all tooling, parts, and procedures meet rigorous aviation standards.
- Licensing:
Valid EASA Part 66 B1.3 License (or equivalent). - Type Ratings:
Current Type Ratings on H225 (EC225LP
) and/or AS332 (L1, L2, C1). Additional ratings on other Airbus Helicopters (e.g., H145, H135, AS365, H155) and experience with military variants (Caracal, Cougar) are a plus. - Experience:
Minimum 5 years of hands‑on maintenance experience on the specified types. - Mobility:
High flexibility for frequent travel and short‑term assignments across Africa and the Middle East. - Language:
Proficiency in English (technical and spoken). French is a significant advantage for West African operations.
- Experience with mission‑specific equipment and proven ability to work independently in remote or austere environments.
- Resilient – thrives in high‑pressure environments and can solve complex technical problems with limited local infrastructure.
- Adaptable – culturally sensitive and comfortable moving between different countries and customer environments.
- Autonomous – possesses a can‑do attitude and can make sound technical decisions in the field.
