Senior Design Engineer - Electrical C&I

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate engineering electrical drawings, bills of materials, and specifications using CAD EPLAN and AutoCAD to enable pump manufacturing.
• Perform and validate detailed design calculations to ensure designs meet customer requirements, safety, and quality standards.
• Design and develop customized pump components and assemblies based on customer specifications and company standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales and Tendering, Project Management, and Manufacturing to support project execution and address technical challenges.
• Supervise and review the work of design engineers and drafters to ensure quality and adherence to timelines.
• Adhere to strict schedule deadlines and ensure timely delivery of all engineering tasks and deliverables.
• Participate in order reviews, design meetings, and administrative functions to support effective project management.
• Contribute to process improvements and uphold EHS and company quality standards in all tasks.
• Participate in customer meetings and site visits to ensure customer satisfaction and provide technical alignment.
• Support and collaborate with other engineering facilities and divisions in the Global Sulzer Organization to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; CAD or Lean certification is an advantage.
• 5‑8 years of relevant work experience in electrical and mechanical design environments.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD design using EPLAN (AutoCAD as a minimum), with solid experience in Teamcenter and SAP.
• Sound knowledge of electrical drafting, manufacturing processes, and detailed calculations for pump components and assemblies.
• Familiarity with LEAN principles, EHS standards, and order execution and handling processes.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring capability, excellent time management, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
