What You’ll Bring :
- Study all inputs, specification & related documents to the assigned project, request any further clarifications that are needed to prepare the technical submittal.
- Prepare & issue submittals of base design & detailed design following customer specification & technical offer.
- Respond to customer comments and revise submittal drawings accordingly.
- Work on design optimization using alternate material & material from slow moving inventory & FGs to reduce cost.
- Select electrical components & issue BOM to meet customer specification & approved drawings, ensuring safe and proper operation of the application.
- Prepare & issue electrical shop drawings for manufacturing for the range of MV/LV Substations and Switchgears including but not limited to Package SS, Unit SS, Switchgears, Panel boards, Distribution Board.
- Respond & ensure closure of QC defects report on priority.
- Ensure final As-Built Drawing are updated incorporating all QC comments after testing & inspection.
- Perform an active role to achieve department targets and goals
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Power Engineering from an accredited institution.
- At least 2-4 years’ experience of relevant MV/LV Substations and Switchgears Design work experience.
- Application knowledge of IEC and IEEE standards.
- Aware about SEC Distribution Specification of PSS, USS, and LVDP and different Municipality specifications for SLP and LSS.
- Expert in reading and analyzing the customer electrical SLD, load schedules.
- Knowledgeable about multiple MV & LV components manufacturers
- Knowledgeable about the different MV/LV substation products range and LV applications like APFC, MCC, ATS, Gen Synchronization and load sharing.
- Solid understanding of the electrical circuits’ theory; control diagrams design of MV/LV substation and Switchgear.
- Basic understanding about the Busbar and Cable sizing of the LV products.
- Familiar with estimation of heat dissipation of the Busbar and electrical equipment utilizing the OEM software.
- Basic knowledge in Control panel wiring and PLC wiring and basic knowledge in PLC.
