- Review and process material submittals in line with project specifications and approved standards.
- Ensure all construction materials comply with ICAO, FAA, and local aviation authority requirements as well as ASTM and AASHTO standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to obtain timely material approvals.
- Arrange and monitor field and laboratory testing for soils, aggregates, asphalt, concrete, and other civil materials.
- Review laboratory and site test results and verify compliance with approved mix designs and specifications.
- Identify non-conforming materials and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Review and support approval of concrete and asphalt mix designs in coordination with QA and QC teams.
- Monitor batching plant operations to ensure consistency and compliance with approved material designs.
- Support trial mixes, mock‑ups, and pre‑production testing activities.
- Coordinate with site engineers and construction teams regarding material usage, availability, and sequencing.
- Maintain accurate material tracking logs, test registers, and approval records.
- Prepare technical reports, material compliance summaries, and daily or weekly progress updates.
- Ensure material handling, storage, and testing activities comply with approved HSE and environmental requirements.
- Support sustainable material practices and waste reduction initiatives where applicable.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in materials engineering or materials quality control roles.
- Experience on airport, airfield, runway, or large‑scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials including soils, aggregates, asphalt, and concrete.
- Familiarity with ASTM, AASHTO, BS, and aviation‑related material standards.
- Hands‑on experience with laboratory and field testing procedures.
- Ability to analyze test data, identify trends, and flag compliance issues.
- Proficient in MS Office and technical reporting.
- Experience working with airfield pavement materials and high‑performance concrete.
- Knowledge of asphalt and concrete plant operations.
- Familiarity with QA and QC documentation, inspection and test plans, and NCR processes.
- Experience using document control systems such as Aconex or similar platforms.
- Certification in materials testing or quality management is an advantage.
- Work on a high‑profile airport and airfield development program in Saudi Arabia.
