Technical Sales Engineer – Electrical Instrumentation Position
Responsible for generating sales for electrical and instrumentation products and solutions. Handles client inquiries, prepares quotations, manages supplier coordination, and achieves sales targets in industrial, oil & gas, utility, and MEP sectors.
Responsibilities- Sales & Business Development
- Identify new business opportunities in Oil & Gas, Water Treatment, Power, and Industrial sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and end users.
- Follow up on enquiries, quotations, and ongoing projects to convert leads into orders.
- Conduct regular market visits and project tracking.
- Technical & Commercial Activities
- Study RFQs, technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs.
- Prepare commercial and technical quotations.
- Select proper electrical and instrumentation equipment based on client requirements.
- Coordinate with OEMs and suppliers for pricing and delivery schedules.
- Prepare technical submittals and compliance statements when required.
- Project Coordination
- Provide technical clarification to customers during evaluation.
- Support project team after order confirmation.
- Coordinate with logistics for material delivery as per project timeline.
- Reports & Documentation
- Maintain CRM records, enquiry logs, and weekly sales reports.
- Provide feedback on market trends, competitor pricing, and customer requirements.
- Products to Handle
- Switchgear, MCC, PLC Panels, Sensors, Transmitters, Pressure, Level, Flow, Temperature sensors, Valves, Actuators, Cables, LV components, power supplies, VFDs, starters, relays, breakers.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Instrumentation / Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum 2–5 years experience in E&I sales (GCC experience preferred).
- Strong technical knowledge of LV electrical & instrumentation products.
- Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Valid GCC driving license (advantage).
