Applications Engineer – Power

As an Applications Engineer – Power, you will develop project‑specific designs and technical documentation, support sales bids, and coordinate engineering activities across the team.

• Prepare project‑specific designs and supporting technical documentation for sales bids, detailed design phases, and operational projects.
• Coordinate engineering input across the team and provide expert technical support to project stakeholders.
• Liaise with client technical staff and visit potential job sites to verify project needs.
• Advise the Sales team on project‑specific design issues and propose engineering solutions.
• Design power temperature control packages to suit project needs and maximize use of Aggreko fleet products.
• Design the specification of specialist mechanical equipment with the ME Engineering team.
• Prepare professional drawings for ME Engineering, including 3‑D drawings, construction diagrams, schematics, Piping and Instrument Drawings (PID), single‑line diagrams, and site layouts.
• Perform HVAC heat‑load calculations, equipment sizing, pressure‑drop, and flow calculations.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, ANSI, ASME, IEC, local regulations).
• Prepare construction mechanical piping bill of materials and engineering documents to meet job requirements.
• Provide engineering assistance for operational projects as needed.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Team on design‑support requirements throughout the project life cycle.
• Adhere to Aggreko Health, Safety & Environmental policies, operating procedures, and local legislation.
• Travel to project locations for site visits and client meetings.

• Minimum of five years of design experience in MEP, HVAC, Power Generation, or Oil & Gas industry.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in a second language is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong computer‑design skills and proficiency using AutoCAD.
• Experience with mechanical software such as HAP, Inventor, or Solid Works.
• Customer focus: ability to understand customer needs, respond effectively, and build relationships.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with team members and stakeholders.
