As Senior Design Manager – Citywide, you will lead advanced design execution for critical infrastructure systems across the Qiddiya development. Your responsibilities include layout design, systems coordination, compliance verification, and mentoring of design teams. This role is integral to delivering high‑quality, technically sound infrastructure across one of Saudi Arabia’s most ambitious urban projects.
What You’ll Do- Lead the design of complex infrastructure systems using both 2D and 3D CAD methodologies
- Perform front‑end layout planning and anticipate technical design challenges
- Ensure compliance with safety, tolerances, regulatory standards, and client design expectations
- Conduct advanced design calculations and technical analysis within your discipline
- Coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure integrated, compatible system designs
- Review, check, and verify CAD drawings and technical deliverables prepared by junior designers
- Collaborate with suppliers and fabricators to verify technical requirements and integration standards
- Support and mentor junior designers, contributing to skill development and process consistency
- Assist in preparing manpower estimates and project schedules for design team resources
- Act as Lead Designer on medium‑sized projects, ensuring design documentation meets all technical and quality benchmarks
- 2‑year technical degree or certification from a recognized CAD or drafting program (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of related design experience, including leadership in multi‑discipline infrastructure design
- Strong proficiency in CAD software and advanced technical drafting tools
- Thorough understanding of infrastructure codes, international design standards, and safety regulations
- Demonstrated ability to foresee and solve design challenges across complex urban systems
- Ability to guide interdisciplinary teams and coordinate deliverables in high‑pressure environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
