Job Summary

As a Quality Engineer, will be responsible for supervising the work of a number of teams. They should have enough technical expertise in the area, and knowledge of Quality policies & procedures to be able to provide advice and guidance on their particular specialization. Supervises or gives practical and ongoing guidance to more junior colleagues. Has experience at infrastructure projects and construction projects.

Has capability to conduct inspections and close all MIR. MAR, WIR and PQ and audit the project.

External – Vendors, Subcontractors, Auditors and Other Regulatory bodies.

Main

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, writes and sends to QC Supervisor non-conformance reports.
  • Checks cable laying and cable identification.
  • Performs all relevant loop checks.
  • Executes the inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation activities on site.
  • Updates as built drawings.
  • Performs punch-listing operations.
  • Checks power transformers, switchboard, accumulator battery, sockets outlet, lighting system.
  • Performs visual inspections, dimensional test, checks rating and material for connection.
  • Performs tests of continuity, insulation resistance.
  • Calibrates safety valves.
  • Calibrates instruments.
  • Checks installation of instruments.
  • Performs tests functional instruments.
  • Performs test communication functionalities.
  • Witness the tests, controls and inspections carried out.
  • Check conformity with the Quality Control Plan, obtain the relevant documentation, and check procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls and inspections
  • Manage documents certifying tests, controls and inspections.
  • Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and company Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality procedures, processes, and inspection methodologies.
  • Participate in management reviews and quality performance assessments.
  • Support the implementation of quality objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze quality KPIs, trends, and project quality performance metrics.
  • Prepare quality reports and dashboards for management review.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quality performance and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Conduct supplier quality assessments and performance reviews.
  • Identify quality risks and opportunities and support risk mitigation strategies throughout the project life-cycle.
Requirements
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field with approval from SCE.
  • Experience:

    5–8 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within infrastructure, roads, and construction projects.
  • ISO 9001:2015, 45001:2015 lead auditor is a must.
  • Expert skills in Microsoft Office. Focus on Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Experience in GCC is preferrable.
  • Area of

    Experience:

    experience in Infrastructure, Roads and Superstructure is a must.
  • Very good communication skills.
  • Proficient Quality awareness.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective negotiation & detail-oriented skills.
  • Should be Fluent in Arabic and English language.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills with people at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Experience of using ERP D 365 to fetch business information is an asset.
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment is an asset.
