We are currently seeking a highly experienced Construction Chief Field Engineer to join our Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh. This key role sits within our Infrastructure Division and requires strong expertise in field supervision and inspection of Transportation and Civil engineering projects, particularly roads, highways, bridges
, within a complex urban environment.
The selected candidate will act as the senior on-site authority for inspection and construction compliance, ensuring that all works are executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage all site inspection and field supervision activities, ensuring strict compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Act as the Chief Field Engineer
, supervising and coordinating discipline inspectors to ensure consistent inspection standards across all work fronts. - Monitor contractors' activities on-site to verify that works are executed in accordance with approved method of statement, materials, and quality standards.
- Review and verify inspection requests, material submittals, and work inspections
, ensuring timely approvals and proper documentation. - Ensure implementation of QA/QC procedures and compliance with project specifications.
- Enforce compliance with HSE requirements and report any deviations or unsafe practices.
- Identify non-conformances and initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring corrective actions are properly implemented and closed.
- Provide technical guidance to inspectors and contractors on construction quality, materials, and workmanship.
- Coordinate closely with the Construction Manager, Project Manager, and Senior Engineers team to resolve site issues and discrepancies.
- Participate in construction, technical and coordination meetings with contractors and stakeholders.
- Monitor progress of works from a site inspection perspective and report any deviations from programme or specifications.
- Support testing, commissioning, and handover processes
, ensuring all works comply with contractual and client requirements. - Contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly reports
, highlighting inspection results, quality issues, and key risks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Applicable experience: over 12 years in construction management, with a focus on roads, bridges, tunnels or large‑scale infrastructure projects, mainly as a consultant. Candidates with exclusive contractor experience will not be considered.
- At least experience in one or more projects of roads
. Candidates without clear road experience will not be considered. - Understanding of construction, design and engineering principles.
- Understanding of local regulations and safety standards.
- Proficiency in English. Arabic is a plus.
- Report writing skills, social skills, communication, teamwork, problem‑solving, autonomy, flexibility, and technical rigor.
- Willingness to work in a multinational environment firm.
- Transferable Iqama in case of non‑Saudi.
- Based in Riyadh.
- Valid SCE membership.
