Structural Engineer

We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to support the technical and structural aspects of construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and approving structural and construction drawings, evaluating structural systems, reviewing quantities and technical specifications, and ensuring compliance with applicable engineering codes and standards. The role requires close coordination with project stakeholders to deliver practical and efficient structural solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and approve structural drawings and construction/shop drawings.
• Evaluate and recommend suitable structural systems during the design stage while assessing their impact on construction costs.
• Review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, and technical comparisons.
• Review quantity take-offs, executed quantities, and payment certificates.
• Review IFC (Issued for Construction) models and drawings to ensure compliance with approved designs and engineering standards.
• Coordinate with Planning and Cost Control teams regarding project changes and their impact on project objectives.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to resolve technical and structural clashes.
• Develop technical and structural solutions from the design phase through project handover.
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and analyze structural and construction drawings.
• Solid experience in technical office activities and construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi and international engineering codes and standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, SAFE, and RAM.
• Ability to review BOQs and technical specifications and verify compliance.
• Strong quantity take-off and structural documentation skills.
• Excellent coordination skills across multiple engineering disciplines.

Qualifications &

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, technical office activities, and engineering review.
• Proven experience in residential, high-rise, and commercial projects.
• BIM experience and knowledge of construction detailing are highly preferred.
