Mechanical Engineer - Steel Factory

• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on heavy rotating equipment, gearboxes, pumps, and fans.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize high-pressure hydraulic and pneumatic systems driving critical plant machinery.
• Lead mechanical technicians during emergency equipment failures to safely and rapidly restore manufacturing operations.
• Perform laser alignments, dynamic balancing, and vibration analysis to predict and prevent premature bearing and shaft failures.
• Plan and execute mechanical overhauls during scheduled plant turnarounds and major maintenance shutdowns.
• Redesign mechanical components prone to high wear from heat, scale, and dust to extend their operational life.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related manufacturing field.
• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience specifically within a steel mill, foundry, or heavy processing industry.
• Direct experience with Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF), Continuous Casting Machines (CCM), Overhead Cranes, or Rolling Mills.
• Deep understanding of heavy hydraulics, lubrication systems, thermodynamics, and materials science (steel wear/heat treatment).
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD/Solid Works) and experience using a CMMS (SAP/Maximo) for work orders.
