Senior Roads Engineer

Overview

Deliver geometric road design packages for urban and rural projects from concept to IFC. Coordinate with drainage, utilities, structures and traffic teams. Prepare submission packages to local authorities.

• Design and develop road and highway projects ensuring compliance with local KSA and international standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality infrastructure solutions.
• Utilize advanced engineering software to create detailed road and highway designs.
• Implement sustainable and innovative road design.
• Prepare technical reports, design calculations and project documentation.
• Contribute to the preparation of project proposals and tender documents.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in road and highway engineering.
• Prepare construction drawings and support engineers with quantity take‑offs and BOQs.
• Support RGA/TGA submission.
• Collaborate with engineers, BIM managers, GIS teams and stakeholders for seamless data and model exchange.

• Technical experience and engineering knowledge in road design principles, including selection design, operating speeds, sight distances and stopping/decision checks.
• Produce horizontal and vertical alignments, profiles, superelevation, typical sections and transitions.
• Experience with junction roundabout geometry, lane balance, storage tapers, median openings and access management.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil3D for road and civil infrastructure design; demonstrable skills in alignments, corridors, profiles, cross‑sections and detailing.
• Knowledge of stormwater road drainage principles and local and international standards (e.g., SHC, AASHTO, BS/EN).
• Experience producing technical notes and design reports.

• Experience with signing/marking and roadside safety layouts.
• Familiarity with Infra Works for conceptual and preliminary design.
• Stormwater design experience.
• Knowledge of AASHTO/SHC pavement design.
• 8‑10 years post‑graduate experience.
