Electronics Engineer (Transportation Systems Signals)
For Saudi Arabia, we are looking for a passionate Electronics Engineer (Transportation Systems Signals) (m/f/d).
Responsibilities- Review and approve signalling system designs, technical submittals, and interface documentation, ensuring compliance with the D&B Contract, safety standards, and Employer Requirements.
- Oversee system integration of signalling with rolling stock, telecommunications, platform screen doors, traction power systems, and OCC/TCC operational control systems.
- Provide technical leadership during signalling testing & commissioning activities, including FAT, SAT, integration testing, dynamic testing, and trial running.
- Monitor signalling system performance, ensuring compliance with RAMS targets, operational requirements (e.g., headways, speed profiles), and safety criteria.
- Participate in inspections, audits, NCR reviews, and quality assurance processes related to signalling system installation, configuration, and operation.
- Assess signalling-related risks, failure modes, and interface challenges, ensuring appropriate mitigation measures are implemented and tracked.
- Coordinate with PMCM teams, D&B Contractor signalling teams, system suppliers, O M Entity, and Employer representatives to resolve technical issues and ensure system readiness.
- Prepare signalling system reports, integration assessments, performance analyses, and compliance documentation for Employer review and PMCM reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline, with 15+ years of relevant signalling experience.
- Extensive experience in railway signalling systems, including ATC/ATO, CBTC, interlocking systems, train detection, and signalling‑system integration.
- Strong understanding of interfaces between signalling systems and rolling stock, telecoms, PSDs, traction power, SCADA, and OCC/TCC operations.
- Proven ability to review and validate technical documentation including signalling designs, interface control documents, test procedures, NCRs, and commissioning reports.
- Familiarity with RAMS frameworks, SIL classifications, and safety standards such as EN 50126 / EN 50129 for signalling systems.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to assess system performance, diagnose issues, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills for working within multi-disciplinary PMCM teams and engaging with contractors and stakeholders.
- High level of professional integrity, technical rigor, and adaptability required for complex system integration within a metro mega project.
