Position: Electrical Engineer (MEP)

Purpose

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of electrical infrastructure assets across the Riyadh Metro network. The role provides technical expertise, supervises maintenance activities, supports asset performance improvement, and ensures compliance with operational, safety, and quality standards. The primary objective is to maximize asset availability and reliability while leading maintenance teams and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Description
  • Provide technical expertise for the maintenance and performance of electrical systems and infrastructure assets across the metro network.
  • Develop, review, and maintain maintenance procedures, work instructions, method statements, and technical documentation.
  • Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities for electrical assets and systems.
  • Manage and supervise electrical maintenance teams, including resource allocation, performance management, and technical guidance.
  • Support CMMS maintenance planning activities, audits, and asset performance monitoring.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation are maintained within the CMMS.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless maintenance delivery and operational continuity.
  • Support emergency response activities, fault investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Accountability Areas
  • Electrical Asset Management:
    Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of electrical systems and associated infrastructure assets.
  • Maintenance Planning and Execution:
    Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans to meet operational requirements.
  • Technical Leadership:
    Provide technical guidance and support to supervisors and technicians while maintaining engineering standards.
  • Team Management:
    Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance personnel while ensuring effective workforce utilization.
  • CMMS and Documentation Management:
    Maintain accurate maintenance records, procedures, reports, and asset data within the CMMS.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and railway operational requirements.
  • Operational Support:
    Support fault response, emergency activities, and operational continuity across the metro network.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Identify opportunities to improve asset performance, maintenance effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
    Collaborate with internal departments, contractors, and operational teams to ensure successful service delivery.
