Job Overview
Execution of assigned tasks and work orders related to all types of mechanical maintenance, mechanical corrective, preventive maintenance and any engineering related works in a safe, good and cost‑effective manner within the given time frames.
Responsibilities- The overall responsibility for performing assigned Work Orders as well as any other tasks by the supervisor.
- Identify the root causes of major and repeating problems.
- Respond to all technical problems within the assigned area, ensuring proper actions are identified and taken.
- Solving technical problems and identifying the actions and parts requirements.
- Knowledge on spare parts description, availability and required critical spare parts.
- Daily contact with direct managers, peers and supervisors.
- Decision making on utilization of spare parts required for corrective and preventive actions for breakdowns.
- Executing the maintenance schedules and plans to maintain plant equipment within given engineering standards.
- Achieve and maintain line availability, technical efficiency, equipment readiness.
- Ensure proper controls for all hazards and risks associated with all activities are in place and EHS targets are achieved.
- Operate all equipment related to utilities sections; supervise contracted labour during maintenance activities and follow safety and company standards.
- Perform required daily parameters readings and monitoring as required by the supervisor.
- Daily reporting of all shift activities.
- Identify opportunities and support initiatives to improve production processes in coordination with production personnel to improve quality, productivity, enhance safety or drive down costs.
- Support the execution of the site Maintenance and Reliability M&R Strategy to achieve world‑class maintenance status.
- Execute and follow the assigned actions related to PEMM Pepsi Co Maintenance Methodology tool and MIAP Maintenance Improvement Action Plan.
- Support the implementation of Reliability Engineering tools and techniques to achieve Maintenance and Reliability M&R KPIs.
- Support executing Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and Failure Analysis techniques (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, RCA).
- Attend the Maintenance Forum meetings to share maintenance performance, best practices, challenges and achievements.
- Maintain and implement AIB standards.
- Maintain accurate SAP‑PM records and updates for all assigned Work Orders.
- Adhere to EHS and QFS policies and standards.
- Implement, sustain and participate in the continual improvement of the EHS Management System in accordance with legislations, Pepsi Co GEHSMS and relevant EHS standards, ensuring proper controls for all hazards and risks associated with all activities and achieving EHS targets.
Knowledge & Skill
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Mechanical safety standards awareness.
- Maintenance Planning & execution system; can read and understand plans, diagrams, layouts and schematic drawings.
- Knowledge in operating and automation systems.
- Technical knowledge for refrigeration plant cooling system troubleshooting.
- Knowledge in any Maintenance Management software (CMMS) is a plus.
- Good command of English language (reading, writing and speaking).
- Knowledge of Quality and Food Safety (QFS) systems and policies.
- Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) systems and policies, basic awareness.
- Knowledgeable in SAP system.
- Ability to do basic electromechanical works independently.
- General knowledge and ability to use computers and MS Office applications.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years industrial experience.
- Hands‑on experience in mechanical equipment maintenance, thermal and hydraulic machines, HVAC systems, rotating and conveying mechanisms.
- Equipment troubleshooting hands‑on experience.
