Position: Require a Cost Control Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure activities are aligned with approved schedules and milestones.
  • Track project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts to maintain effective cost control.
  • Identify cost and schedule variances and provide recommendations to improve project performance.
  • Support the implementation of Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to measure project efficiency and productivity.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, KPI reports, and management presentations.
  • Assist project managers with forecasting, planning, resource allocation, and performance analysis.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Participate in project review meetings and provide accurate project control information to stakeholders.
  • Identify potential project risks and contribute to the development of mitigation and recovery plans.
  • Support change management processes and evaluate the impact of project changes on cost and schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and project control standards.
  • Guide and support junior team members while promoting best practices in project controls and cost management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Cost Control, Project Controls, Planning, or Scheduling within Oil & Gas EPC projects.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and project performance measurement.
  • Hands‑on experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Good knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), project risk management, and project lifecycle processes.
  • Ability to analyse complex project data and present clear, practical recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced project environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Certifications

Candidates holding any of the following certifications will have an added advantage:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional)
  • PRINCE2
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) Certification
  • PMI‑SP
  • AACE Certifications
