Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Monitor project progress and ensure activities are aligned with approved schedules and milestones.
- Track project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts to maintain effective cost control.
- Identify cost and schedule variances and provide recommendations to improve project performance.
- Support the implementation of Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to measure project efficiency and productivity.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, KPI reports, and management presentations.
- Assist project managers with forecasting, planning, resource allocation, and performance analysis.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Participate in project review meetings and provide accurate project control information to stakeholders.
- Identify potential project risks and contribute to the development of mitigation and recovery plans.
- Support change management processes and evaluate the impact of project changes on cost and schedule.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and project control standards.
- Guide and support junior team members while promoting best practices in project controls and cost management.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Cost Control, Project Controls, Planning, or Scheduling within Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Strong understanding of project planning, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and project performance measurement.
- Hands‑on experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.
- Good knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), project risk management, and project lifecycle processes.
- Ability to analyse complex project data and present clear, practical recommendations.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced project environment and manage multiple priorities.
Candidates holding any of the following certifications will have an added advantage:
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional)
- PRINCE2
- Earned Value Management (EVM) Certification
- PMI‑SP
- AACE Certifications
