Director - Technical Design; MAS

Qiddiya Investment Company is on the lookout for an innovative and experienced Director - Technical to join our team. This key leadership role will focus on managing all technical aspects of our ambitious projects and initiatives, ensuring that we deliver high-quality outcomes that align with our strategic vision.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical engineering, project management, and leadership in a large-scale development environment. You will play a crucial role in leading your team to enhance operational performance, drive continuous improvement, and ensure that all technical requirements are met.

• Technical Leadership
• Provide vision and direction for the technical department, ensuring alignment with broader company objectives
• Mentor and develop engineering teams to enhance skills and expertise
• Drive innovation by encouraging and implementing new technologies and methodologies
• Project Management
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, ensuring they are completed to specifications, on time, and within budget
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure all technical aspects of projects are integrated effectively
• Continuous Improvement
• Identify areas for improvement within technical operations and develop strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Utilize data and metrics to assess performance and implement corrective actions as needed
• Stakeholder Collaboration
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align technical requirements with business objectives
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and industry partners to support project success
• Compliance and Risk Management
• Ensure adherence to all relevant local and international standards, regulations, and best practices in engineering and construction
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technical operations
• Reporting and Documentation
• Maintain thorough documentation of technical specifications, project plans, and compliance records
• Prepare detailed reports for senior management and stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and outcomes

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field;
  Master’s Degree is a plus
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role within technical services or engineering management in large‑scale development or construction projects
• Proven experience in project management methodologies and principles
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and implement continuous improvement initiatives in technical operations
• In‑depth knowledge of engineering standards, regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to large‑scale projects
• Track record of successful risk management and problem‑solving in complex environments
• Excellent analytical abilities and proficiency in technical documentation and reporting
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced and changing environment while maintaining a focus on quality and safety
