Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Expert to join our Transportation Business Line based in Riyadh, supporting transportation and mobility projects across the Middle East region. This role will be instrumental in driving geospatial innovation, enabling data-driven decision-making, and supporting the successful delivery of complex transportation and infrastructure programs.
As a regional GIS specialist, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement geospatial solutions that support planning, design, construction, operations, and asset management activities. You will leverage advanced GIS capabilities, spatial analytics, and digital engineering technologies to deliver high-quality geospatial products and insights that add value throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and manage geospatial databases, datasets, and mapping solutions for transportation and infrastructure projects across the Middle East region.
- Deliver advanced spatial analysis and geospatial intelligence to support transportation planning, network studies, corridor assessments, asset management, and infrastructure development initiatives.
- Design and maintain interactive GIS applications, dashboards, web maps, and digital platforms using ArcGIS technologies to improve project visibility and decision-making.
- Create high-quality cartographic products, map layouts, and technical drawings that effectively communicate project information to clients and stakeholders.
- Manage and publish geospatial content through ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise, ensuring data accessibility, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Integrate GIS workflows with BIM and digital engineering environments, supporting the visualization and analysis of infrastructure assets and transportation networks.
- Work with Revit, Civil 3D, and other BIM models to extract, validate, transform, and integrate engineering data into GIS platforms and geospatial workflows.
- Support the development of digital twin and 3D geospatial solutions by combining GIS, BIM, and engineering datasets.
- Collaborate with engineers, planners, project managers, BIM specialists, and digital delivery teams to develop innovative and fit-for-purpose geospatial solutions.
- Establish and promote GIS standards, data governance procedures, and best practices across transportation projects.
- Prepare technical documentation, methodologies, reports, and presentations related to GIS and digital delivery activities.
- Provide technical support, training, and mentorship to project teams and end users across the region.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of geospatial data, maps, applications, and project deliverables.
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Surveying, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of progressive experience delivering GIS solutions within transportation, infrastructure, urban development, or large‑scale engineering environments.
- Extensive hands‑on experience with Esri technologies, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise, with the ability to design, administer, and maintain enterprise GIS environments.
