Overview
Apply for Colocation Regional Mechanical Engineer, Colo Regional Engineering at in الرياض, S01, SA. The full–time on–site position offers opportunities for career growth, with a focus on mechanical and electrical engineering services for AWS global infrastructure.
Key job responsibilities- Work with colo vendors to review the design for new Data Centers in the region, including design input, submittal review, and incorporating AWS products to meet AWS expectations.
- Act as resident engineer during new colo construction projects and support construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
- Support operational issues with ad‑hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, and event support.
- Provide technical support for design of existing data center upgrades and design solutions that add capacity, improve availability, and increase efficiency.
- Lead engineering site audits within leased or colo data centers and produce reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations.
- Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions.
- Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission‑critical facilities (e.g., data centers, power generation, oil and gas).
- Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
- Experience in commissioning.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer license.
- Experience with building codes and regulations for the region.
- Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.
- Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
