Senior HSE Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of HSE policies and ensure compliance across multiple project activities.
• Supervise HSE Engineers and Safety Officers, providing technical guidance and support.
• Develop project‑specific HSE plans, risk assessments, emergency response plans and safe work procedures.
• Conduct comprehensive HSE audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
• Lead investigations of incidents and major safety observations, ensuring effective corrective actions.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and project management regarding HSE matters.
• Deliver HSE training programs, safety campaigns and leadership initiatives.
• Monitor HSE KPIs and prepare management reports with recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OSHA and applicable local regulations.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and drive continuous improvement across the project.

• Minimum 8 years of HSE experience in construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or any relevant discipline.
• NEBOSH IGC mandatory (NEBOSH Diploma is a strong advantage).
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, ISO 45001, and HSE management systems.
• Proven experience leading HSE teams on large‑scale projects.
• Strong background in risk assessment, incident investigation, and emergency response planning.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong communication in English (written and spoken).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE reporting systems.
