Overview
The Senior Structural Engineer provides structural and foundation design, technical analysis, and resolution of engineering problems, and supervises the documentation of the structural drawings in coordination with the architectural and MEP works.
Responsibilities- Develop and oversee structural engineering designs for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Perform detailed structural analysis and calculations to determine load capacities, material specifications, and safety factors
- Optimize structural designs to balance cost, safety, and performance, considering factors like material efficiency and constructability
- Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, for construction and permitting processes
- Develop innovative structural solutions to complex engineering challenges, incorporating new technologies and materials
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers and drafting teams, ensuring the accuracy and quality of design outputs
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations, conducting thorough reviews and audits as necessary
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify the implementation of structural designs and resolve any issues that arise during construction
- Work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate structural designs seamlessly into overall project plans
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with structural engineering projects, implementing best practices to enhance safety and reliability
- Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineer
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in construction of high-end hospitality project.
