Job Description & How to Apply Below
The objective is to design and select a suitable monitoring system based on client needs and asset category, evaluate, and diagnose the electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance, predict maintenance needs, and prevent unplanned outages.
Objectives- Participate in knowledge transfer & client interface
- Participate in plant/site visits and surveys to collect performance curves, heat & mass balance diagrams, P&IDs, and other technical design inputs required for process and performance modeling work.
- Support pre-visit remote data collection, including access to process historians, tag databases, and DCS/instrumentation data.
- Assist in technical assessment and analysis of main plant equipment and performance curves — rotating equipment, heat exchangers, and other process units relevant to the facility type.
- Support technical assessment of process historian/data infrastructure and contribute to site/plant readiness reporting.
- Coordinate on-site sessions with client Instrumentation & Control (I&C) and Operations Engineering teams during data collection and technical assessment.
- Support the build‑out and configuration of first‑principles / thermodynamic performance models, working under the guidance of senior process engineers and technology‑partner specialists.
- Assist with calculating key performance indicators, efficiency and heat‑rate metrics, and other performance benchmarks relevant to the assigned facility.
- Support model installation, configuration, and integration with client data and reporting systems.
- Support Factory/Site Acceptance Testing, integrated performance testing, and model/system acceptance testing, including associated documentation.
- Maintain technical issue logs and contribute to regular project status reporting to Project Managers and Technical Leads.
- Participate in knowledge transfer sessions delivered to client personnel.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with client site teams as the primary on‑site AIGC point of contact for day‑to‑day technical coordination.
- Act as AIGC's on‑site/resident presence at assigned client facilities, under the supervision of the AIGC Technical Lead and Project Manager.
- Build progressively toward independent ownership of site‑level engineering support as competency develops.
Rotate across AIGC client engagements over time as the IDS portfolio expands — this role is intended to grow beyond its initial assignment into a broader resident‑engineering capability spanning power generation, oil & gas, and other process industry facilities.
Education and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Process Engineering, or Mechanical/Power & Energy Engineering with strong thermodynamics coursework.
- 0–5 years' experience (fresh graduates welcome to apply).
- Saudi National, based in or willing to relocate to Riyadh, with willingness to travel and reside at client facility sites across KSA for extended assignments.
- Solid academic grounding in thermodynamics, heat & mass balance, and process engineering fundamentals.
- Familiarity with major process/power‑plant equipment — rotating equipment, heat exchangers, and related process units — gained through coursework, internship, or prior exposure.
- Exposure to process/first‑principles simulation concepts is an advantage (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, Petro‑SIM, or similar); no prior experience with specific client or vendor software platforms is required — full training will be provided on project‑ and client‑specific tools as assigned.
- Basic understanding of plant instrumentation, P&IDs, DCS systems, process historians and fuel demand module (FDM) is a plus.
- Strong Excel and data‑handling skills; exposure to Python or basic scripting is an advantage.
- Fluent in English and Arabic, with strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate effectively with client site teams.
- Self‑motivated with a strong ownership mindset and adaptability to extended on‑site/resident assignments away from Riyadh.
- Knowledge in acoustic emissions is a plus.
- Experience in electrical facilities and/or substations.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems.
- Extensive knowledge of commercial, critical, manufacturing, labs, or distribution facility types.
- Proven ability to read, comprehend and apply information from technical manuals and other reference materials.
- Ability to make informed recommendations in situations where data sets may be incomplete.
- Ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
- Ability to balance multiple requirements.
- Able to interpret how the organizational goals and strategy translate into service or departmental activity.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to manipulate large amounts of data accurately using.
- Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvements and assist with implementing them.
- Ability to engage with client/team stakeholders.
