Design Engineer; Saudi National

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Design Engineer (Saudi National) to join our team! In this role you will get to develop detailed and complex CAD drawings based on engineering inputs, ensuring full compliance with project requirements, company standards, and industry codes.

• Prepare engineering drawings using CAD, including layouts, arrangements, flow sheets, assemblies, and isometric drawings based on sketches and design inputs.
• Collaborate with engineers and other designers to ensure coordinated and accurate design deliverables.
• Apply standard design principles and engineering practices to complete assigned tasks.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, safety requirements, tolerances, and applicable codes.
• Utilize technical manuals and references to maintain design accuracy and compliance.
• Perform dimensional checks and routine calculations required for drawing preparation.
• Interpret and review 2D and 3D drawings, including supplier and manufacturer documentation.
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from supervisors or project requirements.
• Review and check drawings prepared by junior designers for accuracy and quality.
• Support and guide junior team members, including assisting in training where required.
• Maintain proper documentation and drawing records in line with project standards.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as required.

• Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Typically 6+ years of related experience in design and drafting.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software and design tools.
• Solid understanding of design standards, materials, and engineering methods.
• Ability to perform calculations and interpret technical drawings accurately.

• Advanced computer and technical drafting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance in design outputs.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior designers.
• Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and best practices in engineering design.
