Overview

BMS and DCIM Engineer - Critical Systems in Riyadh is an IT and Services opportunity with Parsons Corporation for an experienced engineering professional skilled in Building Management Systems, Data Center Infrastructure Management, EPMS, EMS, SCADA, building automation, control systems, and data center operational integration. This role supports major data center and critical infrastructure projects by reviewing technical designs, validating system interfaces, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring resilient, secure, maintainable, and energy‑efficient operations throughout design, testing, commissioning, and handover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and validate BMS and DCIM system designs for data centers, micro data centers, mission‑critical facilities, and smart infrastructure environments.
  • Verify BMS and DCIM requirements for power systems, cooling systems, environmental monitoring, white space, plant rooms, UPS systems, generators, switch gear, PDUs, chillers, CRAH units, CRAC units, pumps, and metering systems.
  • Review control philosophies, points lists, control schematics, network architectures, graphics, dashboards, alarm matrices, trend logs, and cause‑and‑effect logic.
  • Ensure effective integration between BMS, DCIM, EPMS, EMS, SCADA, fire alarm systems, security systems, NOC, SOC, CMMS, IFMS, and Digital Twin platforms.
  • Review communication protocols and system interfaces including BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, OPC, MQTT, APIs, gateways, PLCs, controllers, sensors, and smart devices.
  • Assess shop drawings, technical specifications, material submittals, RFIs, design changes, method statements, and vendor proposals related to BMS and DCIM systems.
  • Coordinate with MEP, ICT, ELV, cybersecurity, operations, consultants, contractors, and vendors to resolve interface and integration issues.
  • Support operational technology cybersecurity requirements including network segmentation, secure access, logging, remote connectivity, identity controls, and system monitoring.
  • Review operational resilience requirements covering business continuity, redundancy, failover behavior, monitoring continuity, and recovery processes.
  • Verify alarm strategies, dashboards, reporting tools, monitoring displays, escalation workflows, operational thresholds, and operator visibility requirements.
  • Support testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, operational readiness, and final handover activities for BMS, DCIM, EPMS, EMS, and SCADA systems.
  • Review as‑built drawings, O&M manuals, asset registers, configuration files, testing records, operational runbooks, training materials, and handover documentation.
  • Prepare technical comments, issue logs, risk registers, progress reports, design review summaries, and management updates related to BMS and DCIM systems.
  • Ensure technical solutions support safe, resilient, maintainable, energy‑efficient, and high‑performance data center operations.
  • Participate in technical workshops, design reviews, coordination meetings, vendor sessions, and multidisciplinary project discussions.
  • Identify technical risks, integration gaps, unclear responsibilities, missing monitoring requirements, and operational readiness concerns.
  • Recommend practical engineering solutions that improve system reliability, maintainability, cybersecurity posture, and facility performance.
  • Support continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned, strengthening documentation quality, and promoting innovative smart infrastructure practices.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, ICT, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in BMS, DCIM, SCADA, Building Automation Systems, EPMS, EMS, ELV, controls engineering, or critical infrastructure engineering.
  • Strong experience supporting data center, mission‑critical facility, smart infrastructure, or major infrastructure programs.
