Parsons Corporation is seeking an experienced rail signaling professional to support advanced metro and railway systems delivery in Riyadh. The role involves CBTC installation, system testing, commissioning, contractor supervision, technical submissions, and railway system interfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Design‑Build Contractor’s CBTC signaling team to support delivery of the signaling solution.
  • Monitor signaling work against contract requirements, specifications, approved designs, performance targets, and schedules.
  • Manage and review the activities of signaling contractors and subcontractors during installation, testing, commissioning, and integration stages.
  • Provide technical oversight and support in resolving critical installation, testing, commissioning, and interface issues.
  • Ensure signaling systems and interfaces are installed, tested, and commissioned per approved drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Review construction drawings, shop drawings, technical submissions, design details, and installation documents related to CBTC systems.
  • Review fallback signaling system submissions and confirm alignment with project requirements and operational expectations.
  • Assess subcontractor proposals, including scope, capability, resources, experience, workforce competency, and equipment suitability.
  • Review method statements, installation procedures, testing procedures, commissioning plans, implementation plans, and equipment installation plans.
  • Review signaling system documentation covering design, construction, testing, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and handover requirements.
  • Monitor signaling interfaces and integration activities with other railway systems, civil works, operations teams, and platform screen doors.
  • Prepare technical reports covering installation progress, testing results, commissioning issues, analysis findings, risks, and recommendations.
  • Track and report signaling progress against schedule, budget, technical specifications, performance requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Support resolution of technical, contractual, commercial, operational, and logistical challenges related to signaling systems.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary and multinational project teams to maintain clear communication and timely technical decisions.
  • Support consultant supervision activities, contractor correspondence, technical reviews, and documentation closeout.
  • Identify risks, interface gaps, unresolved actions, and potential delays that may affect delivery or readiness.
  • Promote disciplined coordination, safety, quality, and reliability throughout construction and commissioning activities.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in CBTC signaling system installation, testing, and commissioning on large‑scale metro projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in rail signaling design, installation, testing, commissioning, operations, and maintenance within metro or commuter rail environments.
  • Strong knowledge of CBTC, Automatic Train Control, trackside signaling systems, and railway interfaces.
  • Experience in consultant supervision and contractor management, including contractual administration and technical correspondence.
  • Ability to review construction drawings, shop drawings, contractor submissions, method statements, testing procedures, commissioning plans, and subcontractor proposals.
  • Experience monitoring signaling interfaces with platform screen doors, railway systems, civil works, and multidisciplinary project packages.
  • Good commercial awareness with understanding of project delivery requirements, contract compliance, technical risk, and performance obligations.
