Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, supporting data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment.

We are looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer, a hands‑on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation responder.

• Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and encourage a world‑class safety culture.
• Own safety initiatives and projects to foster a strong safety culture.
• Support electrical and mechanical equipment including UPS, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, ATS, Diesel Generators, Chillers, HVAC, Exhaust Fans, VFDs, and Transformers.
• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical, emergency generator, HVAC and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack‑level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Drive innovation while reducing operational costs.

• Work rotational shifts: 4 days of 12‑hour shifts (2 days followed by 2 nights), and 4 days off (including night, weekends and holidays).
• Respond to on‑call rotation for off‑duty emergency calls.
• Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds and log‑taking.
• Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance.
• Occasionally move objects/material within weight limits.
• Work in outdoor weather conditions, noisy environments, at heights and from ladders.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management or a similar technical focus.
• Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems (mechanical, HVAC systems, controls).
• Experience working in operations of critical facilities requiring in‑depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical and control systems.

• Experience in data center engineering.
• Knowledge of BMS and EPMS control systems and data collection/trending.
