Senior Structural Engineer

Overview

Senior Structural Engineer in Riyadh, working with Buro Happold to deliver high-performance structures on complex projects. This role focuses on innovative, sustainable design and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to shape the built environment.

• Lead the design and delivery of building structures projects, ensuring technical quality and alignment with client and sustainability objectives.
• Apply advanced structural analysis and design using software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP
  2000, RAM Concept, and Robot.
• Prepare design reports, technical specifications, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate structural solutions within the overall design.
• Review and supervise work by junior engineers and provide mentorship.
• Engage in peer reviews and quality assurance processes to ensure high standards of technical delivery.
• Work across a range of high-profile developments, from cultural icons to complex commercial structures.

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s level preferred).
• Chartered or working towards chartership with a recognized body (e.g., IStructE, ICE).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in structural engineering design within a consultancy environment.
• Proficiency in design and analysis tools (ETABS, Revit, Rhino/Grasshopper, Tekla, etc.).
• Strong understanding of regional and international codes and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build client relationships.
• Passion for innovation, sustainability, and delivering elegant engineering solutions.
• Professional proficiency in English and Arabic.
