Leverage your expertise and join the dynamic team of a leading Saudi contractor focused on high‑quality large‑scale residential projects in Saudi Arabia. As a Lead Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for leading all planning and scheduling activities across multiple construction projects. You will develop integrated project schedules, monitor project progress, analyze delays, prepare recovery plans and provide management with accurate reporting to ensure projects are delivered on time and within contractual requirements.

Accountabilities
  • Lead the development, review and maintenance of baseline project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Prepare detailed project execution schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, testing and handover activities.
  • Monitor project progress and compare actual performance against approved baselines.
  • Perform critical path analysis, delay analysis and schedule risk assessments.
  • Prepare recovery plans and mitigation strategies to address schedule deviations.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineering, Procurement and Site teams to ensure schedule alignment.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, S-curves, look‑ahead schedules and executive presentations.
  • Review subcontractors' schedules and monitor their compliance with project milestones.
  • Support project controls activities including forecasting, earned value analysis and productivity monitoring.
  • Participate in extension of time (EOT) claims and delay analysis when required.
  • Ensure planning activities comply with project contracts, client requirements and company procedures.
  • Mentor junior planning engineers and promote planning best practices across projects.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of planning and scheduling experience within EPC, construction, or large engineering projects.
  • Strong experience using Primavera P6 (mandatory).
  • Experience with high‑rise buildings, residential, commercial, hospitality or mixed‑use developments.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling methodologies, critical path analysis and delay analysis.
  • Experience preparing recovery schedules and mitigation plans.
  • Knowledge of the project lifecycle from engineering through construction and handover.
  • Excellent reporting, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Fluent in English;
    Arabic is an advantage.
