Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical maintenance of compression, coating, capsule filling, granulation, blistering, and packaging lines
• Lead root cause analysis for mechanical failures
• Ensure effective corrective and preventive maintenance implementation
• Coordinate planned shutdown activities
• Lead mechanical scope for new equipment transfer, erecting, installation and commissioning
• Manage mechanical revamping, retrofitting, upgrading, and system modifications
• Execute major overhauls and technical improvement projects
• Review mechanical layouts and utility integration
• Evaluate supplier proposals and technical solutions
• Coordinate FAT/SAT and support qualification phases
• Ensure alignment with production, quality, and safety standards
• Develop and optimize preventive maintenance plans
• Implement reliability‑centered maintenance strategies
• Ensure maintenance activities meet GMP standards
• Support deviation investigations and change control processes
• Maintain equipment documentation and history records
• Supervise mechanical technicians and contractors
• Plan manpower and maintenance scheduling
• Ensure compliance with safety standards
• Provide technical training and coaching

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
• 2–5 years experience in pharmaceutical maintenance
• Strong troubleshooting experience in high-speed production equipment
• Experience managing equipment upgrades and revamping projects
• Supervisory experience required
• Knowledge of GMP and pharmaceutical regulatory environment
