Senior Project Manager – Station MEP in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is a senior construction opportunity for an experienced rail and transit professional to manage the complete design, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover lifecycle of station mechanical, electrical, and public health systems. The role will lead station MEP delivery across HVAC, electrical distribution, emergency power, lighting, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, fire alarm, building management systems, SCADA interfaces, extra‑low‑voltage systems, vertical transportation, and life‑safety installations.

The successful candidate will represent the client, coordinate multidisciplinary stakeholders, manage technical and commercial risks, and ensure that station systems are delivered safely, within budget, on schedule, and in accordance with approved requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary project management consultancy representative for station MEP activities.
  • Represent the client in technical, design, construction, commercial, and coordination meetings.
  • Ensure employer requirements, contracts, design briefs, technical standards, and project objectives are communicated and implemented.
  • Provide independent advice to the client on technical, programme, commercial, quality, and risk matters.
  • Manage the complete station MEP design lifecycle from concept and schematic design through detailed design and issued‑for‑construction documentation.
  • Review mechanical, electrical, public health, fire and life‑safety, vertical transportation, BMS, SCADA, and ELV design submissions.
  • Evaluate drawings, calculations, specifications, models, equipment schedules, and technical reports.
  • Confirm compliance with local regulations, international standards, civil defence requirements, authority conditions, and project specifications.
  • Chair design reviews, value engineering workshops, constructability sessions, and multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
  • Oversee design verification, validation, requirements traceability, and closure of technical review comments.
  • Resolve interfaces between MEP, architecture, structures, civil works, rail systems, station finishes, and operational systems.
  • Support the development and review of tender documents, technical scopes, employer requirements, and MEP package specifications.
  • Review contractor and supplier technical proposals, clarifications, exceptions, and proposed deviations.
  • Prepare recommendations to support technical evaluations, contract awards, negotiations, and post‑award clarifications.
  • Oversee station MEP construction and installation activities from the client’s perspective.
  • Monitor contractor methodologies, work sequencing, logistics, staffing, productivity, and resource planning.
  • Challenge ineffective construction approaches and recommend practical improvements.
  • Coordinate the resolution of site technical issues, requests for information, design changes, and interface conflicts.
  • Track MEP interfaces with civil works, architectural finishes, systems integration, utilities, and other trades.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with project health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Support the client’s safety objectives during installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Review testing and commissioning strategies, procedures, plans, and integrated test schedules.
  • Monitor pre‑commissioning, functional testing, systems integration, and life‑safety commissioning activities.
  • Review test reports, non‑conformance records, punch lists, and outstanding defects.
  • Ensure contractors complete corrective actions and close technical issues within agreed timescales.
  • Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to confirm operability, maintainability, accessibility, and lifecycle performance.
  • Oversee as‑built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, training plans, asset information, and handover deliverables.
