Design & Proposal Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Proposal Development
  - Prepare technical and commercial proposals for water treatment systems (ETP, STP, RO, MB , UF, ZLD, UPW, etc.).
• Review tender documents, specifications, and client requirements to determine scope.
• Develop process flow diagrams, equipment sizing, and preliminary layouts.
• Provide technical clarifications during bidding and negotiation stages.
• Support sales teams with technical presentations and solution explanations.
• Costing & Estimation:
  Prepare detailed cost estimates including equipment, materials, manpower, and subcontracting.
• Optimize solutions to balance performance, cost, and competitiveness.
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers for technical and commercial quotations.
• Preparation of BEP and post‑order documents, discussion with client/consultant & obtaining engineering approval.
• Exposure to international projects across diverse geographies.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience: 10 (min) years in proposal and process engineering, preferably in water/wastewater treatment industry. Working knowledge of design software such as waves, IMSD, etc.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of treatment processes (RO, MB , UF, ETP, M , UPW, ZLD, STP).

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
• Fluency in Arabic.
