About the OpportunityWe are engaging a FMCS commissioning specialist to support the Client's deployment and optimisation of factory utility monitoring and control systems within a large-scale manufacturing environment in Saudi Arabia. The client is a global true player dominating the field.
The role sits at the intersection of FMCS, SCADA, PLC controls and AI-enabled optimisation, requiring strong field commissioning capability and cross-vendor coordination experience.
What you should do:- Interface with EPC contractors, facility vendors and client stakeholders to validate I/O lists and point schedules.
- Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols including Modbus and BACnet.
- Complete end-to-end point mapping and data verification activities between field devices, PLCs and FMCS systems.
- Configure, modify and commission SCADA systems including graphics, alarms, trends and historian integration.
- Support integration of AI inference outputs into PLC control logic and participate in closed-loop control validation and safety testing.
- Diagnose and resolve field commissioning issues across controls, networks and instrumentation domains.
- Maintain commissioning logs, issue trackers and technical documentation.
- Deliver final handover documentation including as-built drawings, FAT/SAT records and operation manuals.
Must-have:
1. FMCS / EMS CommissioningCandidate should possess:
- Minimum 5 years FMCS or EMS commissioning experience
- Factory utility systems exposure
- Understanding of factory facility operation logic
Required capability:
- Modbus RTU
- Modbus TCP/IP
- BACnet MS/TP
- BACnet/IP
Preferred additional protocols:
- OPC-UA
- Profibus
- Profinet
- Ethernet/IP
Capability expected:
- Device addressing
- Register mapping
- Communication diagnostics
- Gateway troubleshooting
- Serial and Ethernet debugging
While the role is not a PLC programmer, the engineer must be able to:
- Understand ladder logic
- Read structured text
- Trace signal paths
- Validate I/O behaviour
- Participate in commissioning
