Area Director

Lead one of the Middle East's fastest growing Data Centre engineering teams.

At Black & White Engineering, we're delivering some of the world's most advanced mission critical facilities for global clients. As our presence across Saudi Arabia continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Area Director to lead our Riyadh office and play a key role in shaping the next phase of our regional success.

This is far more than an operational leadership position. You'll be responsible for developing our people, strengthening client relationships, driving commercial performance and ensuring exceptional project delivery across a multidisciplinary engineering team. Working closely with Regional leadership, you'll influence business strategy while helping expand our presence in one of the world's most exciting construction markets.

What you'll be doing

You'll lead the Riyadh office across every aspect of its performance, including:

• Leading, mentoring and developing a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Driving profitable project delivery while maintaining the highest technical and quality standards.
• Developing and executing the office business plan aligned with regional objectives.
• Building long term relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders across Saudi Arabia.
• Supporting business development, winning new work and identifying opportunities for growth.
• Providing commercial oversight including forecasting, project profitability, fee management and risk mitigation.
• Ensuring projects are delivered efficiently through effective resource planning and utilisation.
• Leading recruitment, succession planning and talent development to support continued growth.
• Promoting innovation, continuous improvement and operational excellence across the office.
• Representing Black & White Engineering with clients, industry bodies and at professional events.

We'd love to hear from you if you have

• Significant experience leading multidisciplinary MEP engineering teams.
• A proven background delivering large, complex building projects, ideally within Data Centres or mission critical environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing project profitability, forecasting and financial performance.
• Experience developing client relationships and contributing to business growth.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and people development skills.
• Strong understanding of project governance, quality management and risk management.
• Experience working across international projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• A degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status (or working towards Chartership) is highly desirable.
