- Airport Development in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for a major program within the Airlines/Aviation industry. The manager will lead engineering governance, multidisciplinary design coordination, technical assurance, and construction support across passenger terminals, runways, taxiways, aprons, utilities, and landside infrastructure. Serving as the delivery partner's primary technical authority, the successful candidate will direct engineering teams and coordinate with clients, airport operators, consultants, contractors, utility providers, and government agencies.
The role covers the complete project lifecycle from design development through construction, commissioning, operational readiness, and handover.

A major airport program brings together buildings, airfield assets, transport links, utility networks, specialist technology, security, and operational systems. Engineering decisions must remain coordinated across these disciplines while satisfying aviation regulations, construction requirements, budget controls, and long-term operational objectives. The Engineering Manager will provide a unified technical direction for the program. Effective governance and early issue resolution will reduce design conflicts, protect construction progress, and ensure that completed assets are safe, integrated, resilient, and ready for airport operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all engineering activities in alignment with approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
- Establish technical priorities, governance procedures, review requirements, and approval authorities.
- Plan engineering resources according to project stages and package requirements.
- Direct multidisciplinary teams throughout design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Monitor compliance with contracts, client requirements, project standards, and regulatory obligations.
- Manage the review and coordination of consultant and contractor designs.
- Verify compliance with ICAO, FAA, IATA, NFPA, and local authority requirements.
- Review calculations, design reports, specifications, drawings, and technical submissions.
- Assess shop drawings, design changes, engineering queries, and contractor proposals.
- Lead value-engineering initiatives focused on constructability, sustainability, efficiency, and whole-life performance.
- Coordinate civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and airfield disciplines.
- Integrate utilities, ICT, security, traffic systems, baggage handling, and airport technology.
- Maintain technical alignment across terminals, runways, taxiways, aprons, aircraft stands, and cargo facilities.
- Coordinate landside infrastructure, utility corridors, operational buildings, and support facilities.
- Lead technical workshops, design reviews, and interface-coordination meetings.
- Support BIM-based coordination and digital engineering workflows.
- Review federated information and promote accurate use of common data environments.
- Provide engineering leadership during construction and installation.
- Ensure timely responses to requests for information and site technical queries.
- Review method statements, material submittals, and specialist-system proposals.
- Lead the resolution of complex engineering issues affecting delivery.
- Verify that construction remains consistent with approved technical requirements.
- Direct engineering support for testing, commissioning, and operational readiness.
